Our central idea revolved around empowering individuals with essential information and providing end-to-end support to access social welfare schemes. We firmly believe that everyone deserves equal opportunities and access to social benefits that can uplift their lives and create thriving communities.
To achieve this, we established a network of change makers, including high school student volunteers, ASHA workers, local self-help groups, and NGO allies, who bridged the gap between beneficiaries and welfare schemes they were unable to access.

Facing forward
Join us in this transformative journey as we break barriers, connect communities, and facilitate upwards social mobility.
Many people are not aware of the social welfare schemes that are available for them. This lack of information can prevent them from accessing the benefits they are entitled to. To address this barrier, there is a need to increase awareness about social welfare schemes through community-based programs and sensitization of local officials.
The application process for social welfare schemes can be complex and filled with bureaucratic hurdles, which can be a barrier for many people. Some of these barriers include, complex documentations, lengthy and non-transparent application process, and corruption.
Many people in India do not have the time to apply for social welfare schemes or attend meetings/discussions related to these schemes. This can be a significant barrier for individuals who work long hours, as daily wage workers or multiple jobs. To address this barrier, there is a need to make the application process more accessible and less time intensive.
For individuals who work on a daily wage basis, taking time off work to apply for social welfare schemes can result in a loss of income. This can be a significant barrier for many people in rural India where a large part of working population is engaged in informal sector. To address this barrier, there is a need to make the application process more time efficient and simple.
Some people may face logistical barriers to access social welfare schemes, such as a lack of transportation or difficulty traveling to government offices which might cost significant proportion of their disposable income. This can be a significant barrier for individuals who live in remote or rural areas.
Some people may lack the confidence or self-efficacy to apply for social welfare schemes. This can be due to a lack of education or previous negative experiences with government programs or officials. To address this barrier, there is a need to provide education and training on social welfare schemes and to establish support systems that can assist individuals with the application process.
